Samuel Wagner

Samuel Wagner is Coordinator for Catholic and Jesuit Initiatives, focusing on interreligious dialogue, in the Office of the President. A Lutheran, he worked at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for ten years in the Secretariat for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs before coming to Georgetown.  He and his wife have two boys, 4 and almost 6.  In his spare moments, Sam enjoys playing sitar.  “I discovered yoga and meditation through the course of studying the religions of India in graduate school about 15 years ago.  Some form of meditation practice has been a regular fixture in my life since that time.  However, as is often the case, it has never been regular enough!  Thanks to working at GU, and discovering the John Main Center quite by accident (I work down the hall from the Director), meditation has become an essential part of my daily routine in the past year.  I am grateful to be a part of this “gem” of the Georgetown community.”
